Sophie was born and raised in a small town in England, she met her husband while on holiday in Wales, taking part in a local tournament and beating him. Sophie and Howell worked their way up the tournament levels, with Howl winning the World Championship the year after Angus retired, and Sophie winning the next year, beating her husband yet again.
